Are you planning on bringing your kids during GDC 2018? Make sure to register your kids for this childcare program by KiddieCorp so you can enjoy the conference worry free!
It’s two months left before Game Developer Conference 2018 (GDC 2018) held in March. This annual event will be a place for developers around the world to connect, learn and share about the future of game industry. So, every developer should be enthusiastic to welcome this event.
Problems occur, however, for parents who want to attend this event. The organizer already stated that GDC does not allow children in the exhibit hall, conference sessions or lobby spaces. So, parents should leave their kids at home, or entrust them to someone.
For parents who have to bring their kids won’t need to worry though. That’s because GDC 2018 organizers announced that they are collaborating with leading childcare provider KiddieCorp to provide an on-site children’s program. This program is designed for children ages 6 months to 12 years old and will take place in the same venue with GDC 2018, which is Moscone Center in San Francisco, California.
So, the KiddieCorp team will watch over your children while you attend the GDC 2018’s sessions. Parents should not worry because KiddieCorp will take care the children very seriously.
KiddieCorp’s staff to child ratios are high to ensure that every child feels special according to the ages. For example, 1:2 (one staff for two children) for child ages 6 months through 11 months old, or 1:3 for child ages 1 to 2 years old.
What are the KiddieCorp staff Doing While You are Away?
KiddieCorp will charge parents an hourly rate for their services, including snacks and beverages. While you are away, KiddieCorp staff will engage your children with some activities that suit for their age, such as arts & crafts, group games, music & movement, board games, story time, and many more.
So, if you’re planning on bringing your children to attend GDC 2018, make sure you register for this program through the official site and fill in all details. You can register from now, because registration is handled on a first-come, first-served basis. It is also possible to register on the site, but KiddieCorp can’t guarantee you can get staff to accommodate your child.
Please note that the rate for each child is US $12 per hour per child, with minimum 2 hours required. The GDC 2018 itself will be held from the 19th to the 23rd of March, 2018 for the conference, and the 21st to the 23rd or March, 2018 for the exhibition. If you haven’t register yourself to attend GDC 2018, you can get the ticket through its official site.
