Introducing: 4 International Speakers for BEKRAF Game Prime 2017!

Who are they? What topics that they will share in this event?

As we all might have known, BEKRAF Game Prime 2017 will be held at the end of the month; that is on July 27 (Business to Business/B2B event) and July 29 to 30 (Consumer Event/B2C). At the B2B event, there will be several key people from game industry to share their knowledge and insights about the industry. Among them are 4 international speakers that will join the B2B session. Each of them will share their insights about the industry to all participants. Who are they?


Hilmy Abdul Rahim

BEKRAF Game Prime 2017 International Speakers

Hilmy Abdul Rahim is a game development lecturer at KDU University College, Malaysia. He has a wide knowledge of the video game industry’s scheme, great skill in game development, and he also frequently teaches game development subject in international seminars.

Before working as a lecturer, he was a game producer of several game development companies. When he was in those companies, he conducted some projects for Nintendo DS, Flash and also PlayStation 2.

At the BEKRAF Game Prime 2017, he will be one of the panelists for “Bridging the Wide Gap: Talents vs Industry Need” session. In this session, he will give his insight about the issues of college graduates’ expectations that sometimes do not align with the industry’s needs, and how to solve that problem.


David Yin

BEKRAF Game Prime 2017 International Speakers

David Yin is a Business Development Manager of Google Play Apps and Games for South East Asia and Australia. His main duty is to develop the Google Play ecosystem with developers in those areas. Last April, he helped to organize Indonesia Game Contest from Google Play and was one of the judges.

David Yin will be one of the panelists for “Defining a Good Game from the Perspective of Game Publishers” session. In this panel, he, along with the other panelists, will share his knowledge on how to gain the publishers’ attention to your game, and on how to publish your game in the mainstream market.


P'Ng Yi Wei

BEKRAF Game Prime 2017 International Speakers

Kurechii Studio was one of the best industry players in Flash Platform some years ago, and now it is one of the best mobile platform developers. P’Ng Yi Wei is the director of the studio that has brought in some great games like King’s League Odyssey and Tiny Guardians to gamers.

P’Ng Yi Wei will share the success story of both platform and the studio’s journey from the beginning in “Kurechii: A Journey” session. If you want to follow on his successful paths, you should join this session and meet P’Ng Yi Wei in person!


Ian Gregory

Ian Gregory is one of the top game developers from Singapore, and now he is the Creative Director of Witching Hour Studios. One of their flagship titles is Masquerada: Songs and Shadows, an RPG that succeed in their Kickstarter campaign and got a lot of positive reviews from gamers.

In this event, Ian will become the keynote speaker for “How to Make Your Game Standout” session. Are you curious on how the development process of Masquerada is?
