Giving an award is one of the good ways to appreciate someone’s work. So, to appreciate some people who have contributed to the tech industry growth in Indonesia, Dicoding has presented an award called Dicoding Awards.

Dicoding is the biggest portal for Indonesian tech developers and communities, including games. Dicoding has several programs, ranging from small programs such as e-learning program (called Academy) to big program such as events like BEKRAF Developer Conference. All of these programs aim to level up developers’ skill and build the community.

They also collaborate with companies to hold a developer competition called Challenge. The winners can get benefits such as prize money, scholarship, and points. Developers can redeem their points to get some stuff such as notebooks, PCs, smartphones, and tokens to participate in the Academy.

The winners received the appreciation awards during BEKRAF Developer Conference (BDC) in Bandung, November 25, 2017. BDC is an invitational only event held by Dicoding and supported by Badan Ekonomi Kreatif Indonesia.

This event was followed by BEKRAF Developer Day, an event held in several cities around Indonesia.
