Fallen Legion: Flames of Rebellion will follow its “older brother”, Sins of an Empire, to PS4. It will be released on 12 December 2017.
Fallen Legion: Flames of Rebellion was initially released on PS Vita, as a standalone or a bundle for Fallen Legion: Sins of an Empire pre-order buyers. If you already own Flames of Rebellion in PS Vita version, then you will get the PS4 version for free.
The PS4 version will have enhanced visual effects and run in 60 frames per seconds.
The two Fallen Legion games are published by YummyYummyTummy and developed by Mintsphere, a game developer from Jakarta.
Flames of Rebellion complements the story of Sins of an Empire, where you will have about the same gameplay. Storywise, Flames of Rebellion will give Sins of an Empire players a great time putting the puzzle pieces of the story together.
This game’s story focuses on Legatus Laendur’ side, who is the main antagonist in Sins of an Empire. The reason behind Legatus’ betrayal will be revealed here. Meanwhile, the main antagonist will be The Princess, who is the main character of the Sins of an Empire.
Flames of Rebellion will see some familiar figures from Sins of an Empire in your playable characters’ roster, and some new ones too. It will be interesting to see how those characters can be in two sides in a different time, and how they change their allegiance.
With same characters appear in those two games, some of the characters’ magic combo will also have new pairings.
“So some synergies are only going to be viable in one game, but not the other. Such as Legate’s Dafydd Spear that can give extra damage to a ‘defenseless’ enemy that can be combined with Apollon’s Deathblow (that can give ‘defenseless’ status). While Princess cannot do that (with the same character),” said Fandry Indrayadi, Creative Director from Mintsphere.
Only one game stands out and worthy of receiving the tagline Game of the Year during Game Prime Awards 2017 and that is Fallen Legion.
“Flames of Rebellion will also have totally different set of bosses,” he added.
