Legrand Legacy could be the first Indonesian game to be released in Xbox One and Switch. As they announced that they are officially licensed for PS4, Xbox One, and Nintendo Switch.
Good news for the SEA games industry, especially Indonesia. SEMISOFT just announced that they are an official developer for three biggest console games right now, PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and Nintendo Switch.
“WE ARE OFFICIALLY A LICENSED DEV FOR PS4, XBOX ONE, AND SWITCH!
This means that Legrand Legacy is CONFIRMED for Sony PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and Nintendo Switch. However, our current focus now remains on completing the Windows version first, which also means that the console games will only be out AT LEAST a year AFTER the PC version is out (sometime in Q1 2019 or later),” they said on their Steam Community page.
From that announcement, they also reinformed their PC release date, which is in Q1 2019, although the word “later” means it doesn’t guarantee anything. Initially, they targeted the Q4 2017 release.
This announcement means that this game could be the second Indonesian game that is going to be released on console. The first one was Fallen Legion from Mintsphere that was released in summer 2017.
They have to race with Mojiken Studio’s game for second place though because they also announced that Ultra Space Battle Brawl will be released in Switch. Anyway, Legrand Legacy will be the first one to be published on Xbox One.
Legrand Legacy is a game that takes inspirations from classic RPGs like Legend of Dragoon and Shadow Hearts. It adopts the battle methods of the two games and twists them with its own style. It also has a gorgeous looking 3D graphics with epic cut scenes.
SEMISOFT is a game developer from Bandung, Indonesia. They have been working on Legrand Legacy since 2015. In 2017, after a failed attempt, SEMISOFT successfully campaigned Legrand Legacy on Kickstarter and raised about $44,000 in funding.
