Duniaku.net is still holding the number one spot although the Alexa rank goes down to 85 (last month 82). Jalantikus.com remains in the second place with Alexa rank 110, one rank higher than in January. The big surprise comes from Duniagames.co.id when they successfully increased their Alexa rank from 886 last month to 130 this month and rewarded them the third place.

In the top 15, Metaco.gg and GameQQ.net claimed again their spot in top 15, specifically on the 14th and 15th places. They pushed Playtoko.com and Klikgame.com away from this list. Another notable jump recorded by Gamebrott.com, when they successfully climbed two spots to sixth with Alexa rank 1,505.

Definition of Video Game News Websites

Defining video game websites is not that simple. Every site has its own uniqueness and composition. There are sites that have wide-range of topics and cover topics outside gaming (like Duniaku.net, jurnalotaku.com, etc). There are also sites that only focus on one game or one specific genre (like revivaltv.id and hasagi.gg).

In this ranking, video game website is defined as:

  1. A site that covers game only
  2. A site that includes games in its top category, that has articles, videos, or images as contents.
  3. A site that was established in Indonesia and has nation-wide coverage.

This list is also limited only to games websites & blogs that have been tracked by Alexa site evaluators. Furthermore, sites that are included in this list have to be active, which means they must at least published one article in the past week before the data compiled.

How Accurate Is This?

Because it is based on prediction, the data shown is not 100% accurate. This data is taken from Alexa.com, based on their proprietary tools.

Even though it’s not 100% accurate, Alexa’s data is one of the most used data in industry benchmarking, thus, it has strong authority to quantify traffic from a site.

Alexa.com’s data is updated every day. The movement of the data can also be significant each day. Because of that, data shown here is more of a snapshot of Alexa rank in a day, 6 February 2018 to be precise.

Is This Ranking Comprehensive?

No. Alexa only provides the list of top 500 sites from Indonesia. Other than that, it is based on personal research. Thus, maybe there are some big media games that are not included in this list.

So based on the definition above, these are top 15 game media in Indonesia according to Alexa ranking, February 2018 edition.
