After a couple of months of delay, finally, Ultra Space Battle Brawl is releasing on the Nintendo Switch. The game that was developed by Mojiken Studio and published by Toge Productions is out now, July 5, 2018.
After having problems with retrieving access to Nintendo Switch dev kit, Toge Productions finally announced the launch of Ultra Space Battle Brawl (USBB). The game which music is composed by Manami Matsumae and Brave Wave Productions is available globally start from July 5, 2018.
USBB is a Pong-inspired game that was born from internal upgrading session held in Mojiken Studio in 2015. This is a multiplayer game where you should destroy your opponent crystal to score a point. Combined with the multiplayer capability from Nintendo Switch, surely this game is one of the best games to play with your friends everywhere.
How Toge Production got this far in releasing this game is definitely worth mentioning. For a better perspective on why a game from Indonesia is going to be released on Switch is such a big deal. It is because Indonesia doesn’t have access to any console’s developer’s kit yet (only in special cases).
Even the dev kit was held back by the Directorate General of Customs and Excise due to multiple complex reasons. One of the reasons was that the dev kit does not yet have Indonesian standard license.
However, thanks to the Indonesian Creative Economy Agency (BEKRAF) and Indonesian Game Association (AGI), they finally retrieved the dev kit and were able to produce the game. Hopefully, the team’s hard work can be spread to all gamers out there.
Ultra Space Battle Brawl could be the first Indonesian game released on Nintendo Switch. This is how they gained access to Nintendo Switch dev kit!
At the moment, there is no clear info on how much the price of USBB will cost. However, if you are curious about USBB, you can visit Toge Production’s booth at BEKRAF Game Prime 2018 exhibition on July 14-15 at Balai Kartika Exhibition Hall.
