Interview with Hehe Gamez Founder and Their Upcoming Game: Incubo

Despite being new to the industry, expectations are rising for the team as they set to release their flagship game: Incubo. 

During BEKRAF Game Prime 2018, I had a chance to talk with founder and also Game Project of Hehe Gamez, Agustiar Pratama. Despite being new to the industry, expectations are rising for the team as they set to release their flagship game: Incubo.

Here is our complete interview with Agustiar as the number one man from Hehe Gamez:

Can you tell us about Hehe Gamez itself?

We are an indie game studio with, currently, a total of 7 members. We were first built on October of 2017. So far our games include Dodge Mr. Piggy and Flappy Love for mobile. We also plan to release two more games later this year.

Those two games are Pet Tower Defense for mobile. It’s a tower defense game similar to Clash Royale. And the other game is our highly anticipated game for PC, Incubo.

You have so many games with such limited time and resources, how do you do that?

We have an excellent team and they all put their effort and work night in and night out. So, we are very thankful for that. We also set targets for the team and they are very eager to achieve it.

Can you tell us more about your upcoming game, Incubo?

Sure, so basically Incubo is based around the name itself. Incubo means sleep or deepest dream. In this game, our main character enters his dream-or should we say “nightmare” and tries to find a way out of it.

We don’t want to spoil any of the stories because we feel like it is more appropriate if players try out the game first. Worth noting though that Incubo is a side-scrolling horror game that is not fully horror. In this case, there are some cute elements to it.

Our targeted audience is not just Indonesian players, so we included ghosts familiar throughout the world such as Japan, China, and many more. But obviously, there is “pocong” from Indonesia.

So, when do you plan for the game to release?

In the upcoming one to two months, we are preparing to create a demo version, trailer, and fan page. When all is ready, the game will go to Kickstarter where backers can help support the game.
