The 16-years old player, Rizky Faidan grabbed the champion title after defeating Vietnam player, Jesus in the final match. Congratulations!

For the last couple of years, Vietnam has been the king of the Pro Evolution Soccer (PES) SEA Finals’ champion. But not for this year. Indonesian players proved that they are also one of the best PES‘ players in SEA region after dominating the PES SEA Finals’ 2019 in Bangkok, Thailand.

Rizky Faidan from Bandung is the champion of the SEA Finals 2019 after beating one of the Vietnam players, Jesus, in the final match. As the defending champion from last year’s competition, there is no doubt that Vietnam was a tough opponent for Rizky. They both share a draw, 1-1 in a best of 3 matches after the second match.

The 16-years old boy won the match after a tense penalty shootout round in the last match. With the champion title, Rizky brought home 50,000 baht (around US$2,000) as the prize.

This year also marks another special year for the SEA Finals. For the first time, the SEA champion will continue his journey to the Asia Finals. So, with this success, Rizky Faidan will have a chance to represent Southeast Asia region in Asia finals that will be held in Tokyo later this month.

Continue the domination of Indonesian players in SEA Finals 2019

The SEA Finals 2019′ was participated by eight SEA countries, two countries more than last year’s tournament. In this year’s competition, Cambodia and Laos joined the party with six other participants from last year’s event: Indonesia, Thailand, Vietnam, Singapore, Malaysia, and Myanmar.

Each of the countries sends four of their best players. So, there were 32 players competed for the grand prize, divided into four different groups. Indonesian domination of the game had been apparent since the knockout phase, where three of the players (Rizky Faidan, Elga Cahya, and Rommy Hadiwijaya) successfully made their way through the semifinal.

Unfortunately, another Indonesian player, Ardi Agung has been defeated in the first round of the knockout phase by his compatriot, Rommy Hadiwijaya.

The runner up title of SEA Finals 2019 was also a great result for Jesus from Vietnam. It showed that Vietnam is, still, one of the strongest PES teams in SEA.

Congratulations to Rizky! Hopefully, Rizky can bring another success from his participation in Asia Finals.
