This participation is part of the Archipelageek initiative from BEKRAF and AGI

Once again, Indonesia Agency for Creative Economy (BEKRAF) and Indonesia Game Association (AGI) show their support to the Indonesian game industry. This time, they open an opportunity for developers to exhibit their games and develop their business in one of the biggest game events in Europe, Gamescom 2019.

This participation will be part of the Archipelageek initiative from BEKRAF and AGI. Last month, Archipelageek brought 11 Indonesian game companies to participate in Game Connection America 2019.

Gamescom 2019 will be held in Cologne, Germany in five days, August 20 to 24, 2019. Just like other game industry events, Gamescom 2019 will be divided into two parts. The first two days will be a B2B event where game companies all around the world can meet and discuss the partnership opportunity. And the rest of three days will be a B2C event for gamers who want to try the latest games.

Gamescom 2019 will be the first participation from Archipelageek. Before this, Archipelageek helped Indonesian game companies to grow their business through some game events such as Game Connection America in the US and Tokyo Game Show in Japan.

There are some terms and conditions for game companies who are interested to join. First, they should have game products or services to be presented during the event. And then, the game companies should have registered their business or in the process to get the registration certificate.

Lessons from Gamescom 2017: Do’s and Don’ts On Attending Gamescom as Indie Developers

Attending a big gaming expo like Gamescom, E3 and Tokyo Game Show, especially as an indie developer, understandably you need a thorough preparation.

Ten selected companies through the curation process will get a booth in Indonesia pavilion at Gamescom 2019’s B2B area. Besides that, two representatives from each company will get shared accommodation and access to Gamescom 2019’s matchmaking system. This system can be used to arrange some meetings with the other companies before they fly to the event.
