Gamescom 2019 Delegation Profile: Komodoz

Komodoz is an art production studio which has 9 years of experience in crafted artworks for video games and animation.


As a game studio, creating a product or an IP is not the only choice to gain revenue. There are many studios offering their outsourcing services (mostly to produce visual or sound assets) to help global game companies to finish AAA game projects.

One of them is Komodoz, an art production studio based in East Jakarta, Indonesia. Among the other delegations, Komodoz is one of the veterans. Established in 2010, the company has crafted artworks for video games, animation, and other entertainment media.

In its 9 years of experience, Komodoz has collaborated with some big game companies such as Codemasters and Cyanide. Some of the big titles that use Komodoz’s artwork are mostly popular racing games such as DIRT 3, GRID 2 and F1 Online.

Gamescom 2019 will not be its first participation in the global game event. Back to 2009, Komodoz participated in Game Developer Conference 2009, San Francisco. “From that participation, we’ve met with some big game developers,” said Ramadona Samita, the Creative Director of Komodoz. “One of them is Rockstar Games. We got some art test, and thankfully one of them became an art creation service project (3D modeling and texturing) for a simulation game worths up to US$80,000,” he continued.

As a creative art production studio, Komodoz will offer its game art asset service to potential partners in Gamescom 2019. “The service focuses on three processes: 3D modeling, texturing and animation,” he explained further.

Through Gamescom 2019, BEKRAF and AGI Ready to Bring Indonesian Games to Global Market

Indonesian games will reach the global market through Europe's biggest game convention, Gamescom 2019 with the support from Archipelageek program.

Their main goal in Gamescom 2019 is for business development, such as selling, marketing and expanding their network in the game industry. “We also want to know the growth of the game industry. What kind of opportunities we can get in the future, and how we can contribute to the Indonesian game industry’s growth,” he ended.
